Comprehensive survey of impacted lands and properties starts in Lékié division on 22 september 2015

The “Commission de Constat et d’Evaluation” was established on 5 march 2015 by the Governor of Province “Centre” (see decree 41/AR/J/SG dated 5 march 2015) to organize the survey of lands and properties affected by Nachtigal amont Project, and the marking of boundaries of the DUP area. The “sous-commission technique Expertise et Evaluation des biens » was established on 23 june 2015 by the Governor of Province “Centre” (see decree 123/AR/J/SG dated 23 june 2015) to carry on those activities in Lékié division. The “sous-commission” met on 13 july 2015 on the initiative of the Senior Divisional Officer (Prefect) of Lekié.


The public display of the DUP decree and of the convocation notice of affected people was done between 21 july and 11 august in Lékié division. The survey and the marking were then authorized 1 month later, say from 11 september. A new information meeting occurred in Ndji and Olembe villages on 16 september and in Ballong, Emana-Batchenga and Nalassi on 18 september, before the beginning of the operations on 22 september by the Commission and the Consultants of Nachtigal Project. The information meeting will take place on 25 september in Pamnassi and Emana-Benyada, and on 28 september in Elon and Nkolmekok.


The operations will be organized in the affected villages and divisions until late October 2015.
